Trajan's Column: A Symbol of History and Connection

Trajan's Column: A Symbol of History and Connection

Our journey through the Roman Forum began at Trajan's Column, a profound symbol for all Romanians, leading us eventually to the majestic Colosseum.

Trajan's Column is more than just a victory monument; for us Romanians, it is a living link to our origins, a stone-carved chronicle of the Dacian Wars. Standing before it in the heart of Rome feels like a pilgrimage of sorts.

The Starting Point

We chose to begin our exploration of the Roman Forum right here. The intricate reliefs wrapping around the column tell a story of struggle, triumph, and the birth of a nation. It's a powerful experience to see our ancestors depicted so vividly in such a grand setting.

Journey Through the Forum

From the column, we walked through the expansive ruins of the Roman Forum, navigating the layers of history that define this city. The Path led us past ancient temples and basilicas, each step bringing us closer to the iconic silhouette of the Colosseum, where our day's journey reached its grand finale.
